Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to design and develop aerospace products and assist the engineering team by providing ideas for products and manufacturing concepts that can lead to further growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Design of new required products and assemblies
- Perform engineering assignments in a timely manner
- Work autonomously and act as an effective team member, exhibiting good inter-personal skills
- Prepare technical work task/scopes
- Develop understanding DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly) and DTC (Design to Cost) concepts and their appropriate application
- Learn and apply engineering software tools and systems
- Acquire product knowledge and follow existing production and new product production activities
- Analytical evaluation of designs
- Specification preparation - technical process, materials
- Provide all required engineering drawings
- Author/provide input to test specifications
- Participate in peer and technical reviews
- Select and evaluate required vendors
- Provide cost estimates, schedule and proposal preparation
- Develop purchase order requirements
- Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 Quality Management System helpful
- Formal training or advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques
Job Requirements:
- BS Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of design and engineering experience with hands on oversight of prototyping and production
- Fundamental knowledge of CAD tools, FEA methods, 3D modeling software
- Understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning
- Manufacturing experience in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of composites, CNC machined parts, strategic supplier relationships, etc. is highly desired
- Solid modeling of CAD systems (SolidWorks, Catia, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access and other Microsoft products
EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Responsibilities:
Develop and build an embedded system that meets proposed requirements. Design microcontroller software from the ground up quickly and efficiently with little to no guidance. Must be willing to work in a fast pace start-up environment. You will design new procedures and maintain current procedures for testing software. This person will be the go-to for all low-level embedded programming on DSPs, microcontrollers, or microprocessors.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years developing C/C++ applications and drivers for microcontrollers, DSPs, or microprocessors.
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related engineering discipline.
- Self-driven, product-minded, natural leader.
